Chocolate contains some substances which are harmful to cockatoos and cause severe tremors and seizures. Cockatoos really like the taste of Chocolate, but the answer to this question is No.  Cockatoos can not eat chocolate because of its harmful consequences. There is theobromine and caffeine in chocolate, which can cause stomach issues and vomit to all parrots, including cockatoos.

Typically the addition of harmful substances Theobromine and Caffeine are two main ingredients in chocolate. These substances are very detrimental to cockatoos, and Diarrhea can upset their stomach, cause Diarrhea and vomiting, and even lead them to death.

Chocolate is toxic to all parrots, including cockatoos, and when they eat the chocolate, it starts disturbing their stomach. Symptoms also depend upon the size and body of cockatoos as well as the quantity of chocolate that has been taken. Some cockatoos become the victim of severe hyperactivity by eating chocolate and suffer from dangerous consequences.

There are three types of chocolates: Milk Chocolate, Dark Chocolate, and White Chocolate. Actually, it is not the flavor that harms cockatoos’ health, but the actual ingredients of chocolates are dangerous for them. 

The higher the chocolate in Theobromine and caffeine, the higher there will be a risk of death of cockatoos. In every chocolate, there is a different ratio of these ingredients. Cockatoos like chocolate because they love sweet food.

Dark Chocolate and its effects on Cockatoos’ Health:

Chocolate is very harmful to cockatoos, and it is not confined to parrots; it is very dangerous for cats and dogs too. Most people are familiar with chocolate that is not suitable for these pets. Either it is Dark chocolate or any chocolate; if it is high in the ratio of Theobromine and caffeine, it will definitely harm your cockatoos.

 When cockatoos eat chocolate, they start trembling and have seizures which are extremely harmful. If you see these behaviors in youtube cockatoo, then quickly consult with your veteran. Because if they are not treated quickly, they can die. 

Milk Chocolate and Its Effects on Cockatoos’ Health:

Cockatoos can not eat Milk Chocolate because Chocolate is toxic to their health. Either it is Dark chocolate or Milk chocolate, it contains the main ingredients, Theobromine, and caffeine, so it will harm the parrot. Not only Milk Chocolate is harmful to cockatoos but also to all other Milk Products.

 According to top surveys, milk products should not be given to parrots because it can negatively impact their digestive system and cause serious health issues. Try to avoid giving milk products or milk chocolate to cockatoos. 

White Chocolate and its Effects on Cockatoos Health:

If cockatoos eat White Chocolate, it will not produce a deadly effect on them because there is no Coca Butter ( Theobromine and Caffeine). Coca Butter is the primary ingredient; if it is present in chocolate, then it will be deadly dangerous for parrots. Similarly, milk products must not be given to them. Milk chocolate could be given to cockatoos if they did not have the toxicity of chocolate. 

Treatment of Cockatoos after Chocolate Intake:

When you come to know that your cockatoo has gulped chocolate, move to the veteran and give them complete detail. The first treatment they might provide to your cockatoo can be vomiting. The veteran knows how to make cockatoos vomit. Vomiting is effective in this regard because after this, all of the toxicity and chocolate will be removed from their stomach. According to the quantity of chocolate, the condition of the cockatoo can be disturbed. Always try to consult a veteran if, or if not, your cockatoo starts trembling or has seizures. Then the Veterinary doctor can give the possible necessary treatment. In most cases, it is deadly harmful for cockatoos.
