It should be given in small amounts as its large proportion can raise the cholesterol level of the cockatoo’s body. This mineral also maintains the bones and teeth development, and it regulates the growth of the whole body. Another Vitamin, Vitamin B12, is very effective in DNA synthesis and proper working of nerves and nerve cells.

Drawbacks of Excessive Meat:

Meat is very beneficial for cockatoos’ health, but excessive take can cause several issues. It can increase cholesterol levels in their body, leading to obesity, heart and kidney diseases

Excessive intake of meat can cause hormonal imbalance in cockatoos. Due to their hormonal imbalance, they can become aggressive and nippy. Both Cooked or Raw meat are enriched with many essential nutrients, but meat which is coated with spices and fries is not suitable for cockatoos. It can damage the stomach linings. Cockatoos’ health is totally based on their digestive and immune system. So meat should be given to your cockatoo in a balanced proportion.

In my opinion, Meat is very nutritious and should be part of the cockatoo’s diet, but the meat proportion should be small. Excessive meat intake can cause some issues, so it must be served in moderation because cockatoos are very sensitive to their diet.
