Galah [Rose-breasted] cockatoos can breed with other cockatoo species, they have several attractive and colorful hybrid species. Surprisingly, most of them naturally occurred in the wild and a few in captivity.

1 – Sulphur Crested Cockatoo and Galah Cockatoo Hybrids
This hybrid is one of the rarest species on the Planet. It is a hybrid of Galah Cockatoo and Sulphur Crested cockatoo. It looks similar to both species, it has a color pattern similar to Galah but shape similar to the Sulphur cockatoo. It is smaller than a Sulphur cockatoo but greater than a Galah cockatoo. It weighs around 350 grams.
2 – Major Mitchell’s Cockatoo and Galah Cockatoo Hybrids
Someone who bred Major Mitchell’s cockatoo and Galah cockatoo shared these images showing how their hybrids looked different from each other. One of the hybrids resembled Major Mitchell’s while the resembled Galah cockatoo.
3 – Cockatiel and Galah Cockatoo Hybrid (Galatiel)
A parrot breeder kept a cockatiel and a galah cockatoo together, and this is what they came up with. The hybrid is cockatiel sized and has colors similar to the Galah cockatoo. Hopefully, with further development on this hybrid and its cross-breeding with cockatiels, we can develop pink color in cockatiels.
4 – Galah Cockatoo and Corella Cockatoo Hybrid
This hybrid species is called silver roseate. It is also known as Corella-silver galah. the silver and white dilution makes it absolutely gorgeous. It looks more like a Galah cockatoo than a Corella cockatoo.
5. Umbrella Cockatoo and Galah Cockatoo Hybrid
It is one of the rarest hybrid species of cockatoos. It looks like a colorful Umbrella cockatoo at first sight. Its body structure resembles an Umbrella cockatoo’s structure but it has Galah cockatoo’s colors.
